Leading Entrust’s Identity portfolio, the team focuses on delivering AI‑powered, identity‑centric security solutions to businesses worldwide. The role supports the team’s financial health and compliance across multiple legal entities.

The Role

A Senior Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller and will support all accounting and reporting for two UK and seven foreign entities. The role requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Financial and Management Reporting: Support the Financial Controller throughout month‑end and year‑end close by maintaining accurate, reconciled accounting records and providing analysis and reports to support corporate reporting processes.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead international subsidiary audits, manage relationships with auditors and local advisors, and coordinate audit requests across finance and the wider company.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, support tax filings, VAT returns, and statutory requirements, and recommend actions to prevent non‑compliance.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical accounting memos and policies, and keep the team updated with new statutory changes.
  • Process Improvement: Improve efficiency of current processes and implement audit recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accounting team members, fostering a collaborative and development‑oriented environment.
  • Hybrid Role: The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in our London office.

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA)
  • 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP/FRS102
  • Previous experience producing or auditing statutory accounts
  • Previous audit experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Clear and effective communicator, verbal and written
  • A keen interest in technical accounting topics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build great working relationships with all levels of the organisation
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and be proactive with solving problems
  • Hardworking and willing to take on new challenges
  • Ability to look for efficiencies in all processes and drive change in a growing business
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry trends

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the technology industry is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Accounting software Netsuite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
