Occupational Therapist (OT) – Brixton, LondonSpecialist SEN School | Full-Time | Permanent (Term Time + Holidays)£44,000 – £54,000 | Immediate or September Start

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist education setting?

A well-established specialist SEN school in Brixton is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support children and young people with autism and associated needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering a holistic and personalised approach to education and therapy.

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, evidence-informed Occupational Therapy service, supporting pupils aged 4-19 to develop independence, regulation, and access to learning.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventionsSupport pupils with sensory processing, motor and functional needsDevelop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with EHCPsDeliver both 1:1 and group interventionsCreate sensory strategies to support regulation and engagementAnalyse assessment findings to inform therapy planningWork closely with teaching staff and wider clinical teamsProvide training and guidance to school staffMonitor progress and adapt interventions as requiredLiaise with families, carers, and external professionals

The school takes a holistic, child-centred approach, focusing on independence, emotional development, and access to learning within a structured and supportive environment.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a recognised Occupational Therapy qualificationIs HCPC registered and a member of RCOT (or equivalent)Has experience working with children and young people with SEN (autism desirable)Has a strong understanding of sensory integration and functional skills developmentCan work effectively within a multi-disciplinary teamHas excellent communication and organisational skillsIs adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs
