Job Summary

As a Housing Solicitor you will manage a varied caseload including possession and eviction proceedings, tenancy agreements, housing disputes, and disrepair claims. You will provide essential legal advice, draft documents, and represent clients in negotiations and court. Familiarity with the Legal Aid CCMS Portal is preferred.

Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload related to possession/evictions, tenancy agreements, housing disputes, and housing disrepair
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of housing law
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements
  • Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings as necessary
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and case law to provide informed counsel
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Make legal aid applications and assess merits of a case

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with previous experience in housing law
  • Strong understanding of housing law, tenancy regulations, and dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and client management
  • Familiar with the Legal Aid CCMS Portal
