The Data Powered Industries and Domains (DPID) team, part of Capgeminis Insights and Data practice in the UK, is growing its Architecture capability. The Focus of Your Role

As an Enterprise or Solution Architect within DPID, you will play a key role in shaping client engagementsproviding strategic advice and technical leadership across complex, cross-domain challenges. You will help organisations unlock the value of their data by defining and guiding architectures that enable effective use of data, AI, and analytics to address their most critical business problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising senior stakeholders on data, AI, and analytics architectureBeing a trusted advisor to C-level and senior business and technology leaders, helping them navigate the opportunities, risks, and trade-offs of adopting data, AI, and analytics. Providing clear, pragmatic guidance on how architectural decisions influence business outcomes, operating models, and long-term value.
  • Leading on architecture across complex client engagements and business developmentTaking ownership of architecture for large, complex, and often multi-disciplinary engagementsshaping solution direction from early sales through to delivery. Playing a key role in business development by defining compelling, feasible architectural approaches that address client needs and differentiate our offerings.
  • Providing technical leadership across key domains in data and AI
  • Demonstrating deep expertise in one or more areas such as data platforms, AI/ML, analytics, data governance, or integration. Setting direction, establishing best practices, and ensuring architectural quality across engagements, while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Building capability and sharing knowledge across the organisationActively contributing to the growth of the wider architecture and data community by mentoring colleagues, sharing expertise, and developing reusable assets, patterns, and thought leadership. Fostering collaboration and continuous learning across teams and disciplines.

  • Proven experience in Enterprise and/or Solution Architecture, ideally within data, AI, or analytics-focused environments
  • Experience shaping or delivering AI/ML and advanced analytics solutions, with an appreciation of both technical and ethical considerations
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships across business and technology teams
  • Experience leading or contributing to complex programmes, balancing strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery
  • Experience of working effectively in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exposure to one or more industry-specific data challenges (e.g. public sector, manufacturing, consumer products, energy, etc.) (nice to have)
  • Working knowledge of one or more major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and their data/AI ecosystems (nice to have)
  • Working knowledge of one or more architectural frameworks such as TOGAF (nice to have)
  • Holds UK security clearance or is willing to undergo clearance processes

Must Have Skills:

  • Strong understanding of modern data-centric architectures and technologies (e.g. cloud data platforms, data lakes/warehouses, integration patterns) and how they enable business value
  • Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, and security principles in practical contexts
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and inspire confidence
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and helping define both problems and solutions
  • Passion for continuous learning and curiosity about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data and AI
  • Commitment to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and fostering a learning culture
