Housing Support Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Assess resident needs and develop support plans
• Provide guidance on budgeting, benefits, and daily living
• Carry out regular welfare checks and property visits
• Support tenants to manage rent and sustain tenancies
• Report repairs, maintenance, and health & safety issues
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns
• Promote wellbeing and independence
• Maintain accurate records, case notes, and risk assessments
• Liaise with external agencies and attend meetings
• Advocate on behalf of residents

Person Specification

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Knowledge of housing andbenefits
• Relevant qualification (desirable)
