Location: Stevenage or Bristol – fully onsite due to project
Contract: Monday‑Friday, 37 hours per week, 12 months
Pay: Up to £80.00 per hour via umbrella
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance required: SC needed to start, UK eyes only due to project
Role
Systems Performance Modelling Engineer
Responsibilities
- Model in MATLAB and Simulink using model‑based design techniques
- Produce parts of a complex Seeker model, including modelling the target scenario, seeker hardware and processor algorithms
- Develop and implement algorithms within the model
- Generate and verify auto‑code for software algorithms from the model
- Carry out seeker performance assessment
- Produce a simplified representation of the model for use in the missile model
- Optionally update the legacy Seeker model in Statemate
- Document model changes and create test vectors
- Assess suitability of algorithms in the model
- Convert an algorithm into a Simulink model (desirable)
- Familiarity with radar and control systems (desirable)
- Familiarity with digital signal processing (desirable)
- Technical report writing
- Ability to work as part of a fast‑paced team
Qualifications
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, auto‑coding and digital signal processing. Ability to document technical work and conduct professional report writing.
