Job Description:

Senior Employee Relations Manager | London, City | £75,000–£85,000 +Bonus

We’re working with a high-growth business to find an exceptional ER leader, someone who combines deep employment law expertise with sharp commercial instincts and the gravitas to operate at senior leadership level.

This is a genuine build role. You’ll be establishing and leading a dedicated ER function, creating the frameworks, governance and processes that a scaling business needs and acting as the senior escalation point for complex, high-risk people matters across the organisation.

The role in brief:

  • Lead high-risk ER casework including disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing, senior exits and settlement negotiations
  • Own Employment Tribunal management end-to-end alongside external legal counsel
  • Lead ER through restructures, redundancy programmes and organisational change
  • Support M&A and integration activity, including TUPE
  • Coach and challenge senior leaders to build real management capability
  • Build MI, reporting and governance that gives the business meaningful insight into people risk

The environment: Fast-paced. Commercially driven. Constantly evolving. This is a business that moves quickly, changes shape regularly and needs an ER leader who finds that energising. Multi-site experience and comfort with decentralised structures will stand you in good stead.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3–7 years as a senior ER specialist, comfortable as the most senior ER voice in the room
  • Strong Employment Tribunal experience, including case preparation and managing external counsel
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified
  • Proven track record in fast-paced, commercially driven environments
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and M&A activity
  • The credibility to influence at ExCo level and the emotional intelligence to do it well

Why this role? Scope, autonomy and genuine impact. You’ll shape the ER function, the frameworks and the culture around people risk in a business with serious growth ambitions. If you want to build something that matters, rather than maintain what already exists, this is worth a conversation.
