Fire & Security Service & Maintenance Engineer London £40,000 £44,000 + Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Service & Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established fire and security specialist operating across London and the surrounding areas. The business provides high‑quality communal IRS, security, and fire protection solutions to a wide range of clients, including housing associations, local authorities, facilities management companies, and property managers.

This is a full‑time, field‑based role responsible for preventative, reactive, and remedial maintenance across domestic and commercial properties, delivering work to a consistently high professional standard.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding on fire and security systems
  • Preventative, reactive, and remedial works across domestic and commercial properties
  • Carrying out small works and system repairs
  • Completing asset logs and system records on site
  • Managing your own daily workload to ensure timely completion of jobs
  • Communicating progress and updates with the office on a daily basis
  • Dealing with clients face‑to‑face in a professional and customer‑focused manner
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with British Standards and industry regulations
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of fire and security systems and relevant British Standards
  • Experience carrying out preventative maintenance to current regulations
  • Background working with CCTV and Access Control systems (Entrotec experience advantageous; fire alarm experience beneficial)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NSI, LPCB, City & Guilds (desirable)
  • Excellent customer‑facing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • Experience within the construction and fire & security industry
  • Clean criminal record with the ability to pass DBS / security screening
