Location: South Bristol (Field Based)

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Security Clearance: This position requires you to hold or the ability and willingness to obtain a Secured Vetting (SC) clearance. To become eligible for SC Clearance candidates must be able to demonstrate residency in the UK for the past 5 years.

What You’ll Do

This role is part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, supporting the installation and maintenance of fixed and mobile networks. It involves regular climbing of towers and rooftop sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality standards, and performance targets. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift work, including a 24/7 callout rota, and is physically demanding, involving lifting, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors.

  • You will install, commission, and maintain the Vodafone network, products, and services to agreed standards and service levels, ensuring safe working practices are always upheld.
  • You will communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers.
  • You will follow our Vodafone HSE Absolute Rules, without exception.

Who You Are

  • You will have a formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.
  • You will have experience in service provision, fault diagnosis, and resolution across a range of telecommunications technologies, including multi-vendor CPE (such as Cisco, Juniper and ADVA), core transmission technologies like DWDM and Ethernet, mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), microwave radio, switching and DC power systems, as well as fibre and copper cabling and termination.
  • You will have the ability to manage your workload effectively and work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • You will have a valid full UK/EU driving license (Category B).
  • You will have the ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and pass regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance.
  • You will be able to achieve and maintain SC clearance.
