About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adoption Social Worker to join our Social Work service. The post is based in our Bristol office (with opportunities for home working through our Hybrid Working Policy) and covers Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bath and Northeast Somerset, Bristol, Swindon and South Wales.

The post-holder will be a qualified Social Worker, preferably with adoption experience, who will undertake adoption assessments and support placements, as well as contribute to all aspects of the adoption service. This will include recruitment activities, family finding, post-adoption support and training.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team committed to delivering creative, child-centred adoption services and will contribute to a range of family placement activities. Creativity and innovative practice are encouraged and welcomed.

There may be some negotiation in the number of contracted hours for this role. CCS will consider home based posts for those who may live further away, with an expectation that they will travel to Bristol for work with families.
