They will liaise with the production team leader to achieve manufacturing targets specifically around plant availability and PM completion.Role Responsibilities:The role entails but is not limited to:-To ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targets for shiftManage team holidays for Maintenance Technicians on shift in line with company policy and procedure, seeking guidance from Line Manager when requiredEnsure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to ensure the smooth running of the facilityTo engage in Root cause analysis of repeat / major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvementsTo engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mind-set and methodologyTo facilitate the PM schedules and make recommendations for improvement delegating through their team to ensure KPI’s on complianceTo support the internal customers with technical issues Inc. non-breakdownComplying with of all corporate practice, procedures and policies in relation to Occupational Safety and Health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting maintenance processesAttend training when required and adhere to CCUK and Magna standardsTo apply 5S methodology in work area and wider factoryDrive through Departmental and company goals/objectivesPromote and set a positive example in a manner that reflects the Magna Employees Charter, Corporate Constitution and Divisions Mission, Vision, Objectives, Goals and Values.Experience of Disciplinaries and InvestigationsExperience in PDR’s, PIP’s and Absence managementTo coach, mentor and undertake annual appraisals of team membersTo support management with ad-hoc projects as and when requiredPlanning and organising work shifts for the timely completion of all maintenance activitiesLeading a team and delegating work functions to themPromote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirementsOrganising job training activities for all teamEssential experiencePrevious experience in a Maintenance functionTime served apprentice in Mechanical or electrical EngineeringWillingness to multi- skillAbility to delegate to skilled workersReport writing skillsExperience in fault finding from hydraulic & pneumatic schematicsGood Microsoft package ( especially: word, excel)To be able to communicate technical issues and conduct start of shift briefs5’s experienceDesirable ExperienceQualification in both electrical & mechanical disciplineEducated to HNC/HND in related disciplineExperience within the Castings sectorHealth and Safety accreditation.Experience of Tier 1 Automotive supplyPrevious experience leading a technical teamPersonal Attributes:Good problem solving skillsTeam player and promotes a team approach to problem solvingConfidence to challenge the status quoTarget driven, Understand KPI and motivate team to achieve.Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goalsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentGood communicator both written and verbalAbility to work under pressureOrganised and able to multi-taskProactive in approach with a “can do attitude”Eligibility to work in the UKAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
