Job overview

The Business Administration Co-ordinator for the LD FOLS will provide high level administration support to the Learning Disability Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service team based in Dartford. The role requires excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to adapt to quick changes.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide routine administration duties and oversee key performance indicators.
  • Support the team with data management to maintain compliance.
  • Liaise with internal and external colleagues and serve as first point of contact for patients.
  • Collaborate closely with the LD FOLS Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist and the wider team.

Person specification

Training Qualifications and Registration

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Leadership or supervisory experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Understanding of data quality and governance requirements
  • Ability to manage workload pressures
  • Work independently within defined parameters
  • Excellent keyboard skills for accuracy and speed
  • Courteous interaction with colleagues and clients
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of NHS systems and operational structures

Experience

  • Experience working within an office or healthcare administrative environment
  • Experience supervising or coordinating staff
  • Intermediate experience using IT systems for data document management and reporting
  • Understanding of how to adapt communication for the needs of the person
  • Experience in service improvement or change initiatives
  • Completed Easy Read training or equivalent

Applicants must be able to travel between work bases in a timely manner.

Disclosure and Barring Service checks are required for certain roles; a completed Disclosure form will be submitted to the DBS.
