Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Day Shifts
Location: Wetherby, Knaresborough area and A1 proximity
Pay Range: £47,500 – £50,000
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is a large multi‑site manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site. Training, development, and support are provided on a manufacturing site. Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
- Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Work with conveyor systems, PLC systems, motors and controls.
- Lead electrical and instrumentation repair, and work with a CMMS.
- Diagnose, resolve, and eliminate root causes.
- Implement minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
- Complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an electrical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
- Manufacturing industry experience in heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
- Routine preventative maintenance and an understanding of a PPM schedule.
- Ability to find and fix faults quickly and effectively.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
- Fitting, fabricating and welding experience preferred.
- A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
