nAbout the rolen

n

The role holder delivers defined revenue, product volume and quality targets through the acquisition, up-sell and retention of UK SME customers. Sales opportunities are initiated by either an outbound dialler call, inbound call from a customer or outbound call as part of a specific campaign and in accordance with business requirements.  The role holder will answer and respond to customer enquiries efficiently, effectively, and appropriately in accordance with defined processes and procedures.

nWhat you will be doingn

    n

  • Work with a defined account base of small SME customers, who typically have single sites and relatively simple order needs.
  • n

  • Ensure an understanding of BT’s products and services to be able to effectively retain, acquire  and upsell customers and ensure that the customer’s needs are being appropriately met.
  • n

  • To drive outbound calls to retain & grow existing customers & also acquire new customers in 10-100 customer segment.
  • n

  • Typically sell BT & EE’s standard products – across mobile, connectivity, and IP voice. May sell products across multiple towers to the same customer if required to meet their needs.
  • n

  • Develop successful, sustainable, and profitable relationships within the defined account base. Use strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with key customer contacts and decision makers.
  • n

  •  Following BT sales methodology and procedures to retain, develop and grow business such as; effective questioning to landscape accounts.
  • n

  • Thrive in a target driven, customer facing environment in order to achieve targets and KPIs. Targets may include; customer contact activity, product sales volumes, pipeline health and SOV/ revenue growth.
  • n

  • Keep sales tools and systems up to date and well organized with accurate customer information, to support effective decision making and to comply with GDPR.
  • n

  • Identify both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within the account base.
  • n

  • Influence decision makers to make timely decisions that help us achieve the business outcomes.
  • n

nWhat you'll need to succeedn

Essential

n

    n

  •  Confident and effective communicator – able to listen, influence, guide and convey messages articulately both written and verbally.
  • n

  • Comfortable using IT systems, databases and software packages – previous experience with data bases, data savvy, emails and UC such as Teams.
  • n

  • Customer service skills – awareness of how to approach and deal with customers wants and needs, setting expectations and providing solutions.
  • n

  • Adaptable and willing to learn – able to take guidance, constructive feedback and follow processes taught during training, flexible to try new methods when guided to do so
  • n

  • Experience in a sales environment.
  • n

n

n

    n

  • Track record of achieving / exceeding targets – motivated and driven by targets, able to focus on outcomes and organise workload to maximise these.
  • n

  • Sales experience is advantageous – although not essential, being willing to learn, driven and ambitious goes a long way.
