A digital consultancy and fintech product engineering team is hiring a Golang Developer to join their UK function, building new back-end capabilities across a portfolio of regulated financial services platforms.
This is a heads-down engineering role focused on greenfield and transformation work, not BAU. You’ll join a close-knit team of engineers, supported by product, DevOps, and SecOps, working on technically interesting problems in a modern cloud-native environment.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and building back-end microservices in Golang, working with REST APIs and asynchronous messaging, and delivering tested, automated code through a modern CI/CD pipeline. You’ll contribute end-to-end to customer journeys and business functions within a Scrum team.
Tech environment
Golang, Postgres, Kafka, gRPC, Docker, GraphQL, Git, Jenkins, JIRA. Cloud-agnostic, so Azure, AWS, or GCP experience all welcome.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in Golang
- Strong grounding in back-end microservice architecture and asynchronous communication patterns
- Comfortable working in Scrum with solid CI/CD and test-driven development experience
- A genuine software engineering background, not a generalist
- Bonus points for experience with TDD/BDD, gRPC, GraphQL, and modern DevOps tooling
The package
- London-based, hybrid, with a couple of days on site initially and flexibility thereafter
- Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
