Process and Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Lead process and mechanical installation and commissioning of Rivan’s plant and associated pipework. Lead first gas and gas quality verification. Contribute to and review grid entry unit and gas pipework design with external stakeholders. Drive Rivan’s machine optimisation and performance testing. Provide feedback to the R&D team to dictate machine improvements. Manage the routine maintenance and reliability of Rivan’s machines. Lead the operator training programme. Process safety design and operation including Rivan’s process hazard analysis.

Core Skills

  • Experience commissioning, operating and maintaining systems with potentially hazardous processes
  • Awareness of the relevant standards for operating Hydrogen and Methane installations (e.g., IGEM, API, PSSR)
  • Data gathering, interpretation and analysis
  • Commissioning test planning and execution
  • Analytical mindset for plant optimisation
  • Comfortable managing teams
  • Thrives in the field – you’ll spend meaningful time on active project sites

Specifics

  • £60-85k Salary depending on experience
  • Significant share options as part of the early team
