Role Summary

The Aerospace MRO Customer Consultant is responsible for developing and managing relationships within the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem of the aerospace industry. The role focuses on identifying customer needs and addressing concerns, supplying qualified engineering resources, and building strategic customer connections that drive long-term engagement for the engineering services organization.

This is a hybrid role combining technical sales, account management, staffing/resource allocation, and industry networking within aerospace MRO and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

Understand client technical requirements, program constraints, and workforce needs.

Match customer project requirements with internal or external engineering talent pools.

Support workforce planning for MRO programs (structures, avionics, propulsion, airframe, etc.).

Support solution development for engineering services (stress analysis, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, etc.).

Coordinate with recruitment and delivery teams to supply qualified aerospace engineers and technical specialists.

Translate customer technical needs into actionable service offerings.

Develop long-term strategic relationships with key decision-makers (engineering heads, procurement, program managers).

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Act as the primary interface between clients and internal engineering delivery teams.

Collaborate with legal and commercial teams on MSAs, SOWs, and subcontractor agreements.

Support proposal preparation, technical bid responses, and commercial negotiations.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and aerospace networking forums.

Identify opportunities within aerospace MRO operators, OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and airlines.

Provide insights on aerospace MRO trends, including regulatory updates (EASA, FAA), digital MRO, and predictive maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of aerospace MRO operations and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems (structures, avionics, propulsion, interiors).
  • Awareness of aerospace regulations (FAA / EASA / ICAO standards).
  • Proven experience in account management in aerospace/engineering services.
  • Ability to develop and manage high-value client relationships.
  • Experience in resource staffing or engineering consultancy environment is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of engineering

Preferred Experience

  • 20+ years in aerospace MRO, engineering services, or technical staffing/consulting.
  • Prior experience working with airlines, MRO facilities, or aerospace OEM suppliers.
  • Existing industry network within aerospace engineering and MRO ecosystem.

Experience in Scotland and UK market.
