Manager, Insurance Accounting Advisory

Edenbrook are working with a Big 4 Professional Services firm on a Manager – Insurance Accounting Advisory opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on IFRS and UK GAAP accounting matters.
• Assess the impact of new accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 9, IFRS 17) and support implementation.
• Review accounting policies and financial statements; draft technical papers.
• Support clients with financial reporting and analytics.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships within and beyond the business
• Contribute to business development and identify new market opportunities.
• Train, coach, and supervise team members.
• Promote innovative and efficient ways of working.

Skills and Experience

• Experience auditing or working within the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, Solvency II, and insurance regulation (IFRS 17 advantageous).
• Commercial awareness of challenges faced by Insurance CFOs.
• Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Proven leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and report-writing skills.
• Agile, solution-oriented, and quality-focused.
• Experience beyond audit (e.g. complex accounting, transactions, internal controls, secondments).
