Divisional Finance Director (Commercial Finance)

Investigo are delighted to be partnering with a multi-billion revenue consumer brand who are seeking a Divisional Finance Director to head up the largest division within the group.

We are seeking a strong leader who has experience in an operations environment who can work in a fast paced, dynamic environment & add real value to the wider SLT team.

You will be overseeing a wider team of 30+ finance professionals and be a key member of the core finance leadership team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will act as a trusted advisor to the COO, providing insight, challenge, and support to drive business performance. You’ll play a critical role in shaping operational and financial decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
  • Delivering monthly reporting and performance analysis
  • Supporting strategic planning and investment decisions
  • Conducting deep-dive cost analysis across operational areas
  • Evaluating business cases and driving value creation
  • Influence day-to-day decision-making from a financial perspective
  • Challenge and support leaders to drive efficiency while maintaining safety
  • Strengthen collaboration between Operations and Commercial teams
  • Identifying and delivering sustainable cost-saving initiatives
  • Leading cost performance reviews and deep dives
  • Supporting board-level reporting on cost performance

Leadership & Team Development

You will lead and develop a high-performing Finance team while contributing to the broader finance strategy.

This includes:

  • Developing individuals within the team
  • Driving a high-performance culture
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships
  • Leading key finance and business transformation initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
  • Significant experience leading cross-functional finance teams in a large, complex organisation
  • Strong background in business partnering at a senior level
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance
  • Ideally worked in a retail/consumer/ FMCG environment
