Job Title: Real Estate Finance Associate (1–3 PQE)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Finance Associate to join a leading real estate finance team in London. This role is ideal for a lawyer with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) who is looking to build their career advising on a broad range of real estate finance transactions within a top-tier international law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in advising lenders (banks, debt funds, and institutional investors) and borrowers on real estate finance transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate finance documents including facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, and ancillary transaction documents.
• Support transactions involving acquisition finance, development finance, investment finance, and restructuring/refinancing.
• Conduct due diligence on real estate assets and related finance structures.
• Coordinate with other practice areas such as real estate, corporate, and tax to ensure seamless transaction delivery.
• Liaise directly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist senior associates and partners with complex and high-value transactions.
• Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory developments, and legal changes affecting real estate finance.

Candidate Requirements

• 1-3 years’ PQE in real estate finance, ideally gained at a leading law firm.
• Strong academic background and qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating finance documentation.
• Familiarity with secured lending, real estate transactions, and finance structures.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong commercial awareness and client-focused mindset.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
