This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Semi Senior to join a growing firm in Inverness. You’ll support senior auditors, develop your technical skills, and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of audit assignments.
The Role
As Audit Semi Senior, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning and execution of external audits across a variety of clients
- Performing audit testing, preparing working papers, and documenting findings clearly
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and audit-related schedules
- Liaising with clients to request information and resolve routine queries
- Identifying potential issues and escalating them to seniors or managers as appropriate
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Taking part in technical training and using feedback to develop your skills
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
You’ll gain strong audit exposure early in your career, with increasing responsibility as you progress.
About You
You’ll be enthusiastic, detail-focused and committed to building a career in audit.
You will be:
- Be studying toward ACA or ACCA (or planning to start soon)
- Have experience working in a UK accountancy practice, ideally within audit or mixed audit/accounts
- Possess strong communication skills and a professional client-facing manner
- Have excellent attention to detail and good analytical ability
- Be organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive team and learning from others
- Be proactive and eager to take on new challenges
Confidence using audit software and cloud accounting systems is helpful, but training will be provided.
