Job Overview
We have an opportunity for a self‑motivated and hard‑working individual to join our Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust Materials Management Team, providing service to departments at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, Berkshire. Based at Heatherwood Hospital, the role focuses on managing ward and department consumable goods: replenishing stocks using the Inventory Management system, using internal purchasing systems, receiving and locating products internally to the departments.
Main Duties
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to supporting clinical teams through effective stock and inventory control. You will need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a track record of working both as part of a team and individually.
A background in inventory management and experience of the National Health Service would be beneficial, along with knowledge of Materials Management, Stock Control and Inventory Replenishment. Good understanding of MS Office and IT is required; training will be provided.
Please note the working hours for this post are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm, with agreed flexibility. We encourage applications from people who wish to work on a flexible basis, recognising that flexibility may mean a range of different working patterns and hours.

Qualifications
- Understanding of stock control gained either in previous employment or through equivalent qualifications
- Inventory or stock control qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Experience & Competencies
- Experience of supply chain and min/max planning
- Demonstrated competence in maintaining operational relationships within the supply chain
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Monitoring and progressing the delivery of orders
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrable IT skills
- Evidence of ability to organise one’s own workload
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- NVQ3 Supply Chain Management or Equivalent
- Experience of a time‑critical environment
- Experience of computerised stock management
- Knowledge of medical/surgical goods and associated terminology
