About Market Rocket
Market Rocket is a London-based Amazon growth agency representing 100+ globally recognised brands and high-growth challengers across multiple categories. We partner closely with leadership teams to build and scale Amazon as a commercially accountable channel, with clear strategy, disciplined execution, and a focus on sustainable performance.
We provide clients with a full-service Amazon solution across strategy, account management, SEO & Listing Optimisation, Creative, and Advertising. For brands operating through Vendor Central, strong account stewardship is critical. This role sits at the centre of that, helping clients navigate the operational, commercial, and strategic complexities of Amazon’s 1P model while keeping accounts running with rigour, pace, and accountability.
Client relationships sit at the centre of how we work. We work alongside in-house teams, set clear direction, and communicate clearly and confidently, so stakeholders understand what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how it translates into measurable commercial outcomes.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Vendor Central Manager who can independently lead a portfolio of Amazon Vendor Central accounts to a high standard. This is a senior delivery role for someone who understands the operational mechanics of Vendor Central, is commercially aware, and can identify clear opportunities for growth across the account.
You will take ownership of day-to-day Vendor Central account stewardship, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, setting clear priorities, and ensuring work is executed at pace and to a high standard. You will work cross-functionally with our specialists across SEO & Listing Optimisation, Retail Media & Advertising, and Creative/Design to ensure each account is managed holistically, with Vendor Central account management as the operating core.
The ideal candidate will be a confident problem-solver who can work independently, bring structure to complexity, take accountability for outcomes, and communicate clearly to ensure our clients always feel supported. You should understand how catalogue quality, retail readiness, availability, operational compliance, promotional execution, and wider commercial performance all interact within Vendor Central and influence account growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of Amazon Vendor Central accounts, taking ownership of day-to-day strategy, execution, and client communication.
- Build strong day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders, providing clear direction, updates, and decision-making support.
- Take responsibility for overall Vendor Central account health, proactively identifying the variables that impact performance and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Manage the day-to-day running of Vendor Central accounts, including catalogue governance, operational workflows, and trading cadence.
- Own catalogue management to a high standard, including variation structures, detail page accuracy, attribute completeness, browse node and category accuracy, content contributions, suppressions, and issue resolution.
- Support clients with Amazon PO-related workflows by identifying issues, monitoring shortages, receiving discrepancies, and operational blockers, helping to protect availability and revenue.
- Support clients in monitoring key Vendor-specific commercial metrics, including Net PPM and wider profitability indicators where relevant, helping to flag risks and inform decision-making.
- Liaise with Amazon-side contacts, including AVS teams where relevant, to help progress operational priorities, commercial opportunities, and account development initiatives.
- Support clients with annual planning, promotional scheduling, and trading activity, ensuring plans are aligned with commercial objectives, operational feasibility, and margin considerations.
- Proactively identify Vendor-specific growth opportunities across range expansion, retail readiness, availability, promotional activity, and content quality, helping clients unlock stronger trading performance.
- Monitor key account performance indicators, including revenue trends, in-stock rates, catalogue quality, operational defects, and wider account performance drivers.
- Own reporting and client updates, translating performance into clear insights, priorities, and commercially relevant actions.
- Act as a senior escalation point on complex Vendor Central issues, bringing calm judgement, structured problem-solving, and decisive execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal ways of working, helping to create more structure, consistency, and operational excellence across Vendor Central account management.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ hands-on Amazon Vendor Central experience, with clear evidence of independently managing multiple accounts and delivering measurable progress.
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central, including catalogue management, operational issue resolution, chargebacks, shortages, case handling, and account troubleshooting.
- Proven capability in catalogue and contribution management, including variations, attribute accuracy, content updates, suppressions, and maintaining high retail readiness standards.
- Strong commercial awareness, with confidence in interpreting account performance and understanding how operational and commercial factors influence revenue, margin, and growth.
- Good understanding of Vendor-specific performance drivers, including in-stock management, profitability considerations, and metrics such as Net PPM, where relevant.
- Experience identifying growth opportunities across Vendor accounts, including range expansion, promotional planning, availability improvements, and stronger retail readiness.
- Excellent client communication skills, able to simplify complexity and build confidence with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with confidence working in Excel and/or Google Sheets to interpret data, track trends, and support decision-making.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple workstreams with pace and control.
- A proactive, solutions-led mindset with a strong bias to action, demonstrating initiative and accountability, progressing work independently and driving issues through to resolution.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities move quickly and accountability matters.
