Senior Mechanical Engineer

Jackson Hogg is excited to be recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative engineering organisation specialising in complex subsea systems and offshore technology.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work within a highly collaborative team leading on the design and development of bespoke subsea equipment and complex offshore subsystems operating in some of the most challenging environments on the planet. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in concept generation, engineering analysis, and prototype development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and subsystems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer within a specialist R&D team
• Deliver robust engineering designs supported by calculations, analysis, and technical justification
• Lead and contribute to design reviews, ensuring engineering quality and technical integrity
• Support prototype build, testing, and evaluation of new technologies and mechanical assemblies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners to develop advanced solutions

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer within an engineering or product development environment
• Strong experience using 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor or similar
• Experience carrying out engineering calculations and analysis using tools such as Mathcad
• Proven experience designing complex large mechanical systems, machinery, vehicles, or engineered structures
