The Role

As a Qualified Accounts Senior, you will work at a senior technical level, taking responsibility for preparing accounts and supporting clients while working collaboratively with colleagues across the Business Innovation team.

You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a client‑focused mindset to ensure exceptional service delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking long‑term progression within a values‑led, modern firm.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Preparation & Technical Delivery

  • Preparing accounts for micro and small entities
  • Working across a portfolio of corporate and unincorporated clients
  • Ensuring high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance
  • Delivering timely and reliable financial information to clients

Client Relationships & Communication

  • Building trusted, professional relationships with clients
  • Handling client queries with confidence and clarity
  • Communicating effectively, both written and verbally

Organisation & Service Excellence

  • Managing workloads efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Prioritising tasks across a varied client base
  • Contributing to continuous improvement within the Business Innovation team

About You

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Strong experience preparing accounts for micro and small entities
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships

What’s on Offer

  • Permanent, full‑time role (36.5 hours per week)
  • Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Jesmond or Chester‑Le‑Street office locations
