Working Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:30 – 13:30

Our client is looking for a motivated Trainee Workshop Engineer to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with no prior experience who is eager to learn a skilled, hands‑on role within a growing manufacturing environment.

You will rotate across multiple shop‑floor departments, receiving full training and gaining practical experience in production, assembly, testing, and machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

You will be trained to work across all shop‑floor departments, including:

• Assembly
• Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Testing
• PCB
• Chemical department
• Machine operation

Your duties will include:

• Operating and maintaining SMT and production equipment
• Following detailed assembly instructions and technical processes
• Carrying out quality checks and assisting with fault finding
• Adhering to health & safety procedures and company standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Training & Development

• No experience required
• Full training provided across all departments
• Ideal role for someone looking to build long‑term technical and engineering skills

Candidate Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
• Good work ethic, reliability, and timekeeping
• Comfortable in a hands‑on, shop‑floor environment (can be cold and occasionally dirty)
• Adaptable and keen to develop new skills
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
