Interim HR Business Partner
An Interim HR Business Partner to join a high-performing global Pharmaceuticals organisation, supporting a critical UK manufacturing operation.
Rate: £43 per hour (8 hours per day, Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Location: County Durham
Duration: Until end of Jan 2027

This is a highly visible role within a complex operational environment where you’ll partner with senior leaders to shape culture, drive organisational change, strengthen leadership capability, and deliver a progressive people agenda.
You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to the business, leading strategic HR initiatives across organisational design, transformation, engagement, talent, capability, and industrial relations.
The Role:
- Lead large-scale organisational change and restructuring programmes
- Partner with senior leaders to drive culture, engagement and performance
- Support leadership development and succession planning
- Shape workforce and capability planning through data-driven insight
- Coach and challenge leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams
- Manage employee and industrial relations risk, including union engagement
- Drive talent and diversity initiatives aligned to future business growth
- Collaborate across HR specialist teams to deliver best-in-class people solutions
Requirements:
- Strong HR Business Partner / HR Manager experience within a complex organisation
- Proven experience delivering restructuring and change programmes in the UK
- Strong industrial relations and union engagement experience
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through ambiguity
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience supporting operational, manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environments advantageous
- Passion for leadership, culture and organisational effectiveness
