A well-established professional services organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Executive to join its Risk & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in AML, onboarding, compliance or regulatory administration within a regulated environment.

The successful candidate will support the ongoing delivery of compliance, onboarding, quality assurance and risk management processes while working closely with internal stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage client onboarding and matter opening processes in line with AML and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct KYC, CDD, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Review and process engagement documentation, ensuring records are accurate and compliant.
  • Support fee earners and internal teams with onboarding, compliance and file management queries.
  • Assist with compliance remediation activities, audits, file reviews and quality assurance checks.
  • Escalate potential compliance or financial crime risks appropriately and maintain accurate records.
  • Support file lifecycle management, including file opening, archiving, retention and closure procedures.
  • Maintain compliance systems, workflows, registers and management information reports.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the implementation of compliance procedures.
  • Assist with training, awareness activities and maintaining a strong compliance culture across the business.

Candidate requirements

  • Previous experience in compliance, AML, onboarding, risk, or quality assurance within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and client due diligence processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good IT and systems experience, including workflow or case management systems.
  • Experience within legal or professional services environments would be advantageous.
