Working Groundworks Supervisor

Start Date: 8th June

Rates: Excellent, negotiable depending on experience

Duration: Ongoing work – at least 2-3 months

Location: Sites at Lossiemouth, Insch, Fyvie & Oldmeldrum

Activus Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction company who are seeking a Working Groundworks Supervisor to join their site teams across Aberdeenshire and Moray.

With over 30 years of experience delivering projects across the UK, our client has an excellent reputation within the industry. Their expertise spans concrete works, civil engineering, and main contracting, making them a trusted partner for a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate groundworks operatives and subcontractors on site
  • Actively participate in groundworks, drainage, concrete, and foundation works as required
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with project specifications, drawings, and deadlines
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Site/Project Manager
  • Assist with problem-solving and provide technical guidance where required
  • Maintain accurate site records, including timesheets, deliveries, and daily diaries

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor (or similar role)
  • Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, foundations, and concrete works
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification (essential)
  • Machine/plant tickets – Dumper & Roller (essential)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Willingness to work hands-on on site as needed
