JOB TITLE: Support Workers – Learning Disability/Mental Health
LOCATION: Clondermott House, Derry~Londonderry
POST: 1x Full-Time (37hrs) Permanent Posts and Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time in Derry~Londonderry Area
Clondermott House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. It is situated in the Waterside area of Derry~Londonderry. Clondermott House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.
Essential Criteria
QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalentAnd 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental health issues.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
Previous experience in administrative duties.
Or2 years’ experience in a formal care /support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months
Previous experience in administrative duties.
Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.
*Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.
This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Access NI check. Please refer to attached link: AccessNI Code of Practice.
