Are you an IT / Technology Risk Analyst looking for a role where your work is visible, impactful, and close to senior leadership?
A leading financial services organisation is hiring an IT Risk Analyst to join a technology risk function. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across technology risk, cyber risk and regulatory environments within a banking setting.
You’ll play a key role in identifying, tracking and helping mitigate technology risks, supporting audits and helping the business strengthen its risk posture.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining and developing technology risk registers and risk logs
- Analyse and document risk events and emerging trends
- Be the 1st line of risk defence to the business
- Analyse and implement the risk associated with the new AWS Cloud environment.
- Supporting internal and external audits (including major upcoming regulatory audits)
- Tracking remediation actions and chasing evidence across the business
- Supporting technology and cyber risk assessments
- Producing risk reporting and management information
- Helping the organisation understand and mitigate technology risks within an FCA-regulated environment IT Risk Analyst
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline risk processes
This role sits in the first line of defence, working closely with operational risk, compliance and technology teams.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in IT / Technology Risk within banking or financial services
- Understanding of risk frameworks, controls and risk registers
- Comfortable operating in FCA-regulated environments
- Experience implementing cloud risk (AWS)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to analyse risk trends and identify potential emerging issues
- Confident working in a small, high-visibility team
- Proactive mindset – someone who improves processes rather than just maintaining them
Nice to have:
- Exposure to DORA or regulatory technology resilience frameworks
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews
- Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF / risk management frameworks
