Fire Engineer 

Osborn Associates is looking to appoint a Fire Engineer to join our growing Fire Engineering team in London, Manchester or Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in fire engineering and gain exposure to a broad range of projects within a supportive and collaborative environment. 

You will work alongside experienced engineers and senior staff to help deliver fire strategies, technical assessments and design support across a variety of sectors. 

The role 

As a Fire Engineer, you will support the delivery of fire engineering projects by assisting with technical analysis, report writing, design reviews and project coordination. This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who is keen to grow, learn and develop within a consultancy setting. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Assist in the preparation of fire strategy reports and technical documents  
  • Support project delivery across a range of fire engineering commissions  
  • Undertake design reviews, analysis and research in support of project work  
  • Attend meetings and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders  
  • Work with senior team members to develop practical fire safety solutions  
  • Maintain high standards of technical quality and professionalism  
  • Contribute positively to team learning and development  

About you 

  • Degree-qualified in fire engineering or a related discipline  
  • Relevant experience in fire engineering or building design would be beneficial  
  • Good written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn  
  • Able to work collaboratively and manage time effectively  
  • Enthusiastic, professional and motivated to develop a long-term career in fire engineering
