POSITION PURPOSE:
You’ll design, develop, and enhance components of our Horizon platform – delivering clean, well‑crafted code that powers real‑time engagement for global brands. In this role, you will:
- Architect, code, and test new web applications and features (and improve existing ones) within Horizon.
- Present multiple technical solution options, and know how to choose the right one for the moment.
- Estimate enhancements and project work with accuracy and clarity.
- Keep your team in the loop with clear communication around status, priorities, and action plans.
- Follow established coding standards to ensure consistency and performance.
- Troubleshoot and support existing web applications with confidence and minimal oversight.
- Work closely with internal and external IT partners to resolve data issues and craft cost‑effective solutions.
- Build deep knowledge of Horizon and contribute to ongoing improvements.
- Take on internal R&D projects and contribute to continuous innovation.
- Mentor other developers in best practices, standards, and quality delivery.
- Stay current on emerging technologies – seeking and recommending training opportunities.
- Help shape the future of ITA Group technology by sharing ideas and insights.
- Learn how our broader technical ecosystem supports company strategy and growth.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR equivalent experience.
- 4–8 years working with client‑server or web‑based applications.
- 4–8 years working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- 4–8 years supporting production systems.
- Strong experience with:
- Spring technologies
- Relational databases
Bonus points for experience with:
- Kafka
- ORM tools (Jooq, Entity Framework, NHibernate)
- C#
- Automated testing frameworks
