This isn’t a role for a technical leader. It’s for someone who builds teams that deliver.

The Situation

You’ll lead a 15‑person software team working on complex C++ systems in RF and wireless communications. The engineers are strong. The challenge is structure, clarity, and consistent delivery within a global organisation. This role exists to fix that.

What You’ll Own

You won’t be judged on code. You’ll be judged on whether the team:

• Delivers consistently
• Operates with clarity
• Works effectively across an international structure

Your focus:

• Bring structure and organisation to the team
• Support engineers from graduate to architect
• Remove friction with stakeholders across Europe
• Create an environment where engineers perform at their best

What This Role Is Not

• If you want to code — this isn’t your role.
• If you lead through technical authority — this isn’t your role.
• If you micro-manage — this isn’t your role.

What This Requires

• Experience leading software engineering teams
• Ability to bring order to complex environments
• Comfortable influencing in a large, international organisation
• Background in C++ systems or similar (but no longer hands‑on)
