Project Manager – Crawley

Are you interested in delivering multi‑divisional projects within a live airport operational environment? This is an opportunity to step into a Project Manager role where you’ll play a key part in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued growth and success.

We’re looking for a proactive, reliable, and flexible Project Manager to join our Multi‑Divisional Operations team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex, fast‑moving projects in a highly regulated environment, requiring both independent decision‑making and strong collaboration with diverse teams.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from infrastructure, construction, engineering, surveying, or similar operational environments, along with a solid understanding of health & safety requirements in high‑risk or regulated settings.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing multiple concurrent projects across the Monitoring & Surveying, Infrastructure, Environment and Safety divisions
  • Coordinating project delivery within a live airport environment while ensuring operational continuity, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
  • Managing project plans, budgets, resources, reporting requirements, subcontractors and technical teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Liaising with airport stakeholders and operational teams to minimise disruption and maintain safe working practices
  • Overseeing risk assessments, permits to work, and compliance with aviation and health & safety regulations
  • Monitoring progress against key milestones and implementing corrective actions where necessary

Qualifications

To be a successful Project Manager, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience delivering projects within infrastructure, construction, engineering, aviation, surveying, or other operational environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical teams, contractors, and operational stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and leadership capabilities, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and working knowledge of health & safety requirements within regulated or high‑risk environments, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive delivery under pressure
