Pride in Place Programme Manager – Fixed Term Contract

North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

Reporting to the Economic Development and Programmes Manager, you will work within the Economic Development and Programmes Team to lead the implementation and delivery of the Pride in Place Programme, which has received £20m over 10 years for the Grassmoor, Holmewood, North Wingfield and Tupton areas. The role involves project delivery, financial management, partnership work and programme administration, culminating in the production of a Neighbourhood Plan and ongoing support to the Neighbourhood Board and associated workstream groups.

The post is office based at District Council Offices, Mill Lane, Wingerworth, with the possibility of hybrid working subject to operational requirements. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required as attendance at partner meetings across the region may be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful implementation and delivery of the Pride in Place Programme, including producing the Neighbourhood Plan.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Neighbourhood Board and associated workstream groups.
  • Deliver programme and project management activities, including financial management and reporting.
  • Develop and implement effective programme administrative systems.
  • Engage with multi-agency partners, community groups and elected members to ensure programme success.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing similar programmes including project delivery and financial management.
  • Experience working in a multi-agency, partnership and community environment, including with elected members.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective programme administrative systems.
