BIRCHROSE ASSOCIATES

Talent Acquisition Specialist

London (Hybrid) | Permanent | £45,000 + up to 10% performance bonus

About Birchrose Associates

Birchrose Associates is a highly successful legal recruitment business with an enviable reputation as an employer of choice across the UK and US markets. Part of the Huntress Group, our team has ambitious plans to continue expanding and diversifying into new geographies and specialisms within the legal sector.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious recruitment or talent acquisition professional looking to take a significant step forward in their career. As our first dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a central role in shaping the future of Birchrose — identifying and attracting exceptional people across both our UK and US teams.

Working directly with the CEO and Director & Founder of Birchrose, you will be given real ownership and autonomy from day one. This is a rare chance for someone earlier in their career to build something meaningful — with the full support of an experienced leadership team behind you.

Based at our new Head Office in Central London on a hybrid basis, your success in this role will be recognised through a competitive base salary plus a performance bonus tied directly to the quality and volume of hires you make.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days will look the same, but your core focus will include:

  • Working closely with Senior Management to understand hiring needs and build clear candidate profiles for each role
  • Sourcing and headhunting candidates directly using tools including LinkedIn — proactively identifying rising talent rather than waiting for applications
  • Supporting the development of hiring plans to attract trainees and graduates into the business
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines for key areas of legal recruitment, so we always have strong candidates in our network
  • Getting under the skin of the Birchrose culture and becoming a genuine ambassador for who we are and what we offer
  • Assisting with employer branding activity — helping us tell our story in a compelling way to attract the right people
  • Managing candidates through the process from first contact to offer, ensuring an excellent experience throughout

What We’re Looking For

We are not looking for the finished article — we are looking for someone with the right foundations, attitude, and ambition to grow into an exceptional talent acquisition professional. You will likely have:

  • 2–3 years of experience in agency recruitment, rec-to-rec, or an internal talent acquisition role — ideally within professional services
  • A genuine understanding of what makes a great hire and an instinct for identifying potential in others
  • Confidence using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools to find and approach candidates proactively
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly — with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues alike
  • A high level of energy, resilience, and a desire to make your mark in a growing business
  • Curiosity about the legal sector and genuine enthusiasm for the Birchrose story

Performance Bonus

We believe in rewarding results. In addition to your base salary you will be eligible for a performance bonus of up to 10%, paid based on the following criteria:

  • Volume of successful hires made — a bonus paid per hire who successfully completes their probationary period
  • Quality of hires — assessed through hiring manager feedback and early performance indicators
  • Overall contribution to building Birchrose’s talent pipeline and employer brand

Why Join Birchrose?

  • A permanent role with real ownership — you will build this function from the ground up, not inherit someone else’s process
  • Direct access to and mentorship from the CEO and Director — rare at this career stage
  • A fast-growing, entrepreneurial business with genuine ambition across the UK and US
  • A collaborative, high-performance culture that invests in its people
  • Competitive salary of £38,000 to £45,000 plus up to 10% performance bonus, hybrid working, and a full benefits package
