This role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Supported Housing to provide operational leadership across a portfolio of supported living and housing services.
You will oversee specialist housing management services and services that support adults with a range of needs, including those with experience of homelessness, asylum seekers and refugees, and individuals requiring mental health or specialist support.
This is a key management role responsible for ensuring services are safe, compliant and high performing, delivering excellent, personalised and value-for-money services that achieve strong outcomes for customers.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading and developing multi-site teams to deliver high-quality supported housing services
- Driving performance against KPIs, regulatory standards and contractual requirements
- Embedding a strong safeguarding culture and overseeing incidents, complaints and risk
- Managing relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders
- Supporting service development, innovation and continuous improvement
- Managing service budgets and ensuring efficient, effective resource deployment
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience managing supported housing or support services for adults with support needs (e.g. homelessness, mental health, refugees)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing law, welfare benefits and best practice in supported housing
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving performance in a multi-site environment
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners
- Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective services
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences
- A values-driven approach, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
- Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Care (desirable)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (desirable)
