A well-established food manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take full ownership of H&S across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on role for somebody who enjoys being visible on-site, improving standards, influencing people and driving a strong safety culture across the business.
The company has 2 manufacturing sites alongside a large network of retail locations, so this role offers plenty of variety and autonomy. They need somebody confident enough to challenge where needed, work independently and take real responsibility for Health & Safety across the operation.
This is not a junior advisor or admin-focused role.
The Role:
Managing Health & Safety across manufacturing and retail sitesCarrying out audits, inspections and risk assessmentsManaging COSHH, PPE, manual handling and safe systems of workInvestigating accidents, incidents and near missesDriving corrective actions and improving site standardsSupporting managers and holding teams accountable for H&SDelivering Health & Safety training and improving awarenessLeading H&S meetings and reporting on performance/trendsSupporting compliance with all Health & Safety legislationRegular site visits across the regionWhat They’re Looking For:
Previous Health & Safety experience within manufacturingNEBOSH Certificate essentialStrong knowledge of Health & Safety legislationSomeone hands-on, proactive and confident on-siteAble to influence people and challenge where neededExperience carrying out audits, investigations and risk assessmentsOrganised, self-motivated and able to work independentlyFull UK driving licence requiredThe business is looking for somebody who wants to make a real impact rather than simply maintain the status quo.
Monday-Friday role with flexibility around start and finish times.
