The Role
We are recruiting a Building Safety Manager to join our growing Fire & Building Safety team, supporting delivery of Building Safety Case Reports, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies across a national portfolio.
This is a client-facing, technical, and compliance-driven role, ideal for a professional with experience in building regulations, fire safety, façade systems, and high-risk residential buildings (HRRBs).
You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in building safety, regulatory frameworks, and risk assessment, ensuring alignment with the Building Safety Act 2022, PAS 9980, and fire safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Building Safety Case Reports and Gap Analysis Reports in line with HSE / Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements
- Provide technical building safety advice to clients, stakeholders, and internal delivery teams
- Support regulatory compliance, including Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and associated guidance
- Conduct risk assessments, compliance audits, and assurance reviews across residential and commercial assets
- Contribute to development of policies, procedures, and building safety frameworks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and industry best practice
- Engage with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Travel nationally to support site inspections, audits, and client engagement
What We’re Looking For
Skills
- Strong technical report writing (Building Safety Case, FRA, compliance reports)
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication
- Ability to interpret and apply UK building regulations and fire safety legislation
- Analytical and problem-solving skills in risk, compliance, and safety management
Knowledge
- Level 5 Building Safety qualification (or equivalent)
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Building Safety Act 2022
- Fire Safety Act & Fire Risk Assessment processes
- PAS 9980 / EWS1 / external wall systems
- Compartmentation, fire stopping, and façade construction
- Understanding of high-rise residential buildings and HRRB compliance
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in building safety, fire safety, compliance, or construction risk management
- Proven experience delivering Building Safety Case Reports, FRA reports, or compliance audits
- Background in consultancy, housing, construction, or fire engineering environments
