Hybrid Working | UK Security Clearable Required

Our client is one of the UK’s leading innovation and technology consultancies, operating at the intersection of strategy, digital transformation, engineering, AI, and cyber security. With a strong reputation across government, defence, financial services, utilities, manufacturing, and consumer sectors, they deliver some of the most complex and high-impact transformation programmes in the market.

They are hiring Google Security Specialists to help architect and secure large-scale GCP environments for clients operating in highly regulated and mission-critical settings.

Their Google Cloud and Security capability is seeing significant growth, particularly across secure cloud transformation, modern data platforms, and AI-enabled environments. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected consulting business that combines deep technical expertise with genuine influence at enterprise and government level.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing secure end-to-end GCP architectures aligned to business and security requirements

• Delivering cloud security solutions across IAM, infrastructure protection, network segregation, monitoring, and cloud-native tooling

• Advising clients on security best practices, risk reduction, and long-term cloud security strategy

• Working closely with engineering, architecture, data, and AI teams across large transformation programmes

• Supporting secure scaling of cloud and AI environments, including modern data platforms

• Contributing to client workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and technical problem-solving discussions

What they’re looking for:

• Strong experience designing and implementing security solutions within GCP environments

• Consulting or client-facing experience with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Knowledge of cloud IAM, infrastructure security, networking, monitoring, and secure architecture principles

• Experience working on enterprise-scale cloud, integration, or transformation programmes

• Understanding of secure data platforms and modern security tooling

• Exposure to Vertex AI, Gemini, or broader AI security concepts is beneficial

• Certifications such as Google Professional Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or SABSA are useful but not essential

Why this role stands out:

• Major investment into Google Cloud, Data & AI, and Security capability

• Opportunity to work across high-profile private and public sector programmes

• Strong technical career path without needing to move into sales leadership

• Access to certifications, training, mentoring, and complex greenfield work

• Growing defence and national security projects creating long-term demand

Additional details:

• Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days onsite/client-facing per week

• Candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance

• Applicants should have lived in the UK continuously for at least 5 years with no extended periods outside the UK to qualify for SC clearance

If you’re working within GCP security and want access to enterprise-scale transformation work, high-calibre consulting teams, and genuinely complex security challenges, this is a strong opportunity to step into a market-leading environment.
