Job Details Grade: 9A Hourly Rate: £24.74 – £26.72 Salary: £45153.19 – £48766.68 per annum Contract Duration: Permanent Interviews will take place during the last two weeks of April Role Purpose Scottish Borders Council are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified Children and Families Social Worker to the Long Term Teams in Duns, to support the provision of good outcomes for children and young people. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective and compassionate delivery of statutory social work services. You will hold a mixed caseload, working with children subject to child protection registration, Care Experienced Children, and those involved in permanence planning. You will work confidently within Child Protection Procedures and the Children’s Hearing System, ensuring high‑quality assessment, planning and risk management, with a focus on children’s rights. Essential Experience of working with children, families, young people and carers, including statutory work. A demonstrable commitment to anti-discriminatory practice. Ability to work independently.
