About the Opportunity

Joshua Robert is partnering with a well established and highly respected commercial property consultancy in Birmingham on the appointment of a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or APC level Building Surveyor looking to develop within a supportive and commercially focused environment, gaining exposure across a broad range of professional and project led surveying instructions.

The successful individual will work alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors across a varied commercial property portfolio including office, industrial, retail and mixed use assets, while receiving full APC support and structured career development.

The Role

The Graduate Building Surveyor will support the wider Building Consultancy team across a diverse workload, including:

• Dilapidations

• Technical Due Diligence

• Contract Administration

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

• Schedules of Condition

• Defect Diagnosis

• Refurbishment Projects

• Landlord & Tenant Matters

• Insurance Reinstatement Assessments

• General Professional Building Surveying Advice

You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, attend site inspections, assist in report production and gradually take ownership of instructions as your experience develops.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline

• Ideally working towards APC/MRICS status

• Strong communication and report writing skills

• Commercial awareness and willingness to learn

• Enthusiastic, driven and career focused mindset

• Full UK driving licence preferred
