Structural Steel Detailer

A leading structural steel and hybrid structures specialist is currently looking for a permanent Structural Steel Detailer to produce 3D fabrication models, GA drawings, and erection drawings using Tekla Structures across hybrid steel, timber, and commercial construction projects in Derbyshire. Start Date : ASAP Salary : £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (DOE) Duties : Produce accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and erection drawings using Tekla Structures Detail heavy structural steelwork and portal framed buildings to a high standard Interpret engineering and architectural drawings and specifications Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabrication teams, and site personnel Prepare material lists, NC files, and drawing issue packages Raise and manage technical queries and RFIs throughout the project lifecycle Produce lotting, phasing, and marking plans to suit programme requirements Attend internal and external project coordination meetings as required Requirements : Minimum 5 years’ experience detailing heavy structural steelwork and portal framed buildings Minimum 5 years’ experience using Tekla Structures Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes Thorough knowledge of steelwork connections and “Green Book” standards Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings Experience working on industrial and commercial steelwork projects Knowledge of BIM workflows and CNC fabrication output data Experience using AutoCAD (2D) desirable but not essential Experience detailing timber glulam and CLT advantageous but not essential – training provided If you are interested, please send your CV for consideration.41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15…
