Senior Fire Engineer
Osborn Associates is looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to join our team in London, Manchester or Glasgow. This is a great opportunity for a capable and driven fire engineer who wants to take on more responsibility in project delivery, client liaison and mentoring within a growing consultancy.
You will work on a broad range of projects, supporting the delivery of fire strategies and engineering solutions while helping to develop junior members of the team.
The role
As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering fire engineering projects, preparing technical reports and providing sound design advice to clients and project teams. You will be expected to work with a degree of independence, manage your workload effectively and contribute positively to the development of the wider team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver fire engineering and fire strategy projects across a range of sectors
- Prepare fire strategy reports, technical assessments and supporting calculations
- Attend meetings with clients, design teams and stakeholders
- Support project management, coordination and programme delivery
- Provide guidance and mentoring to graduate and junior engineers
- Assist in reviewing project information and ensuring quality deliverables
- Contribute to the development of practical, robust and compliant fire safety solutions
About you
- Experience in fire engineering consultancy or a similar role
- Good technical knowledge of fire strategy and fire safety design principles
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Confident working both independently and as part of a wider team
- Working towards chartership would be advantageous
