Overview

Our client, a specialist M+E services provider with 45 years of experience, seeks an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to support ongoing growth.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair commercial heating systems at a variety of sites, including prisons, educational buildings, and government facilities.
• Cover the East Midlands area, primarily Derby and Nottingham, and travel as required.
• Pass security checks/DBS for work in prison environments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current ACS commercial gas qualifications.
• Expertise in commercial boiler servicing, fault finding, and repairs.
• Willingness to undergo and pass CTC clearance checks.
• Willingness to work in secure environments such as prisons with strict safety and security protocols.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Based in Derby or Nottingham area.

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:30 (30 min unpaid lunch).
• Travel paid after 30 mins each way.
• Overtime at enhanced rates up to 1.82x basic rate.
• Call‑out rota: 1 in 7 weeks.
• Company van and fuel card.
• Annual discretionary bonus after 12 months.
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Death in Service Insurance: 3x annual salary.
• Enhanced sick pay – 4 weeks full pay after 7 days of sickness (post‑probation).
• Tools and equipment: mobile phone, tablet, and specialist tools.
