Job Description:

Aston University is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Outreach Officer to join the Student Recruitment and Outreach team. This exciting role will support the delivery of engaging outreach activities, designed to inspire young people and widen participation in higher education. As the successful candidate, you will work closely with schools, colleges, community organisations, and prospective students to deliver a range of events and programmes, including workshops, campus visits, summer schools, and recruitment activities. The role will involve representing the University at external events and building positive relationships with key stakeholders. You will play an important role in encouraging students from underrepresented backgrounds to consider higher education and supporting Aston University’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Applicants should have excellent communication and presentation skills, strong organisational ability, and experience of working with young people, schools, and/or within student recruitment/outreach settings. The ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a busy team is essential.

This role may require occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel to schools and events. If you are passionate about supporting student aspirations and making a positive impact through education, we would love to hear from you.

This role is subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Aston University may be able to sponsor those who are already on a Skilled Worker Visa issued before 22nd July 2025. If you require sponsorship, Aston University will assess eligibility if you are shortlisted for the role.
