A Vacancy at Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust.

Location: Lenworth Clinic in Ashford, Kent.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, or equivalent for psychotherapists.
  • Significant experience working within mental health services (ideally children and young people’s services).
  • Membership with relevant organisations such as HCPC, BABCP, BPC or UKCP.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Responsibilities

  • Clinical lead responsibilities for the service, collaborating with the team manager to run a safe and effective service; deputise as the most senior member of the team in absence.
  • Maintain own caseload of assessment, individual and group interventions; share clinical expertise to build team knowledge and skills.
  • Work confidently with complex mental health presentations in children and young people and with the personal and professional network relevant to the young person.
  • Attend organisational meetings to represent the local team, contribute to delivery of evidence‑based interventions and identify training needs.
  • Offer regular clinical supervision to the team and support development of trainees where within competence.
