Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to lead and deliver electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible forsupporting the design, installation, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high technical and safety standards. These projects vary from a wide range of large complex heavy industrial settings but you will join a team of experienced and well qualified experts.This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management capability, and stakeholder coordination within a manufacturing / industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities Project DeliverySupport electrical projects from initial concept, design, and planning through to implementation and handoverDefine project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirementsEnsure projects are delivered on time and within budgetElectrical EngineeringSupport design and specify electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, and automation systemsOversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipmentProvide technical support on PLCs, drives, motors, and instrumentationReview and approve electrical drawings, schematics, and documentationContractor & Stakeholder ManagementSupport and manage external contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and complianceLiaise with internal teams including production, maintenance, and HSEEnsure clear communication of project progress and key milestonesCompliance & SafetyEnsure all work complies with relevant regulations (e.g., BS7671, IEC standards)Promote and enforce health & safety standards on all projectsConduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of workContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and energy usageSupport automation and upgrade projects to enhance operational performanceContribute to long-term engineering and capital investment plansSkills & Experience EssentialDegree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineC&G Level 3 Electrical Inspection BS7671 (18th Edition)C&G Level #removed#) Inspection & Testing of Electrical installationsProven experience in delivering electrical engineering projects in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of:Electrical distribution and control systemsPLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley)Motors, drives, and automation systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentationStrong project management and organisational skillsDesirable
