We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Engineer to support a high‑profile UK infrastructure programme from the Satellite Delivery Centre near the Hinkley Point C (HPC) site. This role is perfect for professionals with strong estimating expertise and project governance skills, looking to make a direct impact on the delivery of a nationally significant energy project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership within the Project Controls team across designated programme areas
  • Ensure consistent implementation of integrated project controls processes and frameworks
  • Produce and maintain accurate forecasts based on Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Oversee project data assurance using systems such as EcoSYS, P6, and ARM
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports to defined cycles with analysis of schedule and performance drivers
  • Lead estimation management, workshops, and scenario planning for risk and opportunity reviews
  • Present accurate project controls insights at governance meetings and reviews
  • Deliver training on estimating tools and processes, strengthening team capability

Must‑have Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in project management, project controls, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in project management environments
  • Strong expertise in a project controls discipline, particularly estimating
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating methods, techniques, and related toolsAbility to interpret and present data effectively to senior stakeholders

Nice‑to‑have Skills

  • Experience on major construction projects
  • Background in nuclear or similarly regulated sectors
  • Understanding of data reporting tools such as Power BI
